When to use this template

Send it at the end of the event or soon after, while the experience is still fresh. If the event lasts several days, combine a quick daily survey with a more complete final evaluation.

How to adapt the questions

Replace “content” with the talk, workshop, meetup, or activity. If there are different audiences, ask which track the person followed or use that information from the invitation.

Do not put every talk in one huge list. Ask which activity helped most and leave an open text field for details.

How to read the responses

Separate content, logistics, and communication. The overall average may look good while an essential part, such as registration or access, concentrates the problems.

Compare events with the same format and audience. What works for an in-person gathering may not work for an online broadcast.

Common mistakes

• Sending the survey weeks later.
• Asking about ten activities the person did not attend.
• Using the score as the only measure of success.
• Ignoring responses from people who left the event early.
• Promising the next edition before understanding this experience.
